Portugal - Salema Beach
Duckjibe.de

Location
Salema is a small village on the coast between Vila do Bispo and Lagos. Follow the N125 from Vila do Bispo and turn after about 4 km to the coastal road on your right side, which leads to Luz and ultimately also to Lagos (see map). The first village is already Salema.

The Spot
We would not call this bay a real windsurf spot, it is more one of several beaches, where we have `spotted´ a windsurfer. We met one guy from Porto, who surprisingly also knew our home spot (Steinhuder Meer) 3000km up, up in the North ;-). He told us, that this spot is ok, when there are winds from the east. Strong winds in Tarifa normally would end up with 4-5 bft in Salema. However, with winds from the west, this spot is quite dangerous, because they blow off-shore and there are currents along the coast.
