Portgual - Falesia Beach
Duckjibe.de

Location
Falesia Beach stretches from Oura just east of Albufeira to Villamoura. Both cities are well known among Portugal tourists. In both cities you will find very nice golf resort, but also areas of ugly concrete buildings (as often in those tourist centres...). The easiest access to the flat KITE area is from a road, which also leads to the western part of the yachting harbour in Villamoura.

The Spot
The wind was not fantastic, when we walked along the beach, but for kite surfer it seemed to be enough. We have not seen any windsurfer or surfer at this beach, but we think that windsurfing might be possible here. There is usually some

side-shore shore break at the beach, which could hamper the entry to the water. The further you get to the western part of the beach the higher are the sandy cliffs at the beach and the less suitable it becomes for kite surfing. The area towards the eastern end of the beach is quite flat, so that north western winds can blow freely. However, again the wind blows off-shore and we have no idea whether any currents make it dangerous to kite or surf here (so better check with the locals). There are several bars at the beach and during summer time we expect it to be packed with sunbathers at the beach. There is no shop, where you could rent out any material.
